What We Can Do To Win!
With 82 days left until the election we are spriting to the finish line here at the party. We are working hard to reach voters and provide them with all the information they need to vote with confidence and make the best choices.
So what are we working on right now? Voter outreach! Now is the crucial time in the election cycle where we work hard to make sure Democrats are registered to vote, and to make sure those who are registered return their ballot and know who to vote for.
From now until the election we are working hard to mobilize Democratic voters across the state!
Here are the 5 key ways we are working to win this November:
Canvassing: One of the most personal tactics, Canvassing involves going door-to-door and speaking with potential voters and neighbors. Canvassers will oftentimes know ahead of time how likely the resident is to vote and for which candidate. [[link removed]]
Emails : An email list is very valuable, these are people who are seeking information from you so please do share! Emails help keep voters and potential voters informed on important dates and information on candidates.
Social Media: Social Media is a great way to reach large groups of people with fun content and information about how to vote, when to vote, where to vote and who they can vote for!
Leaflets: Candidates create informational leaflets to leave behind at homes, or hand out at events. These will include information about the candidates like why they are running and what they stand for.
Phone calls/Texting : Phone calls and texts are a great way to make personal connections to voters. Phone Banking is a great way for volunteers to speak with their fellow constituents about the voting process and candidates.

How the Inflation Reduction Act Helps Coloradans
President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act yesterday, which has some of the most progressive climate action ever, will provide jobs, and lower costs for Coloradans.
From Morgan Carroll, Chair, Democratic Party of Colorado:
“I want to thank our Democratic Delegation for rolling up their sleeves and doing the work to deliver a meaningful and historic package of reforms to save Americans money by addressing inflation, the cost of prescription drugs, bringing tech jobs back to America, and addressing climate change in a way that will also create good-paying jobs in Colorado. This is good news for Colorado and the country."
Here are the key ways the White House says the Inflation Reduction Act will specifically help Colorado: [[link removed]]
LOWER ENERGY COSTS: In Colorado, millions of low - and moderate-income households are eligible for rebates on energy-efficient appliances through the Inflation Reduction Act. The bill also provides tax credits covering 30% of costs to install solar panels and battery storage systems. There will also be grants to help state and local governments adopt the latest building energy codes, which would save the average new homeowner in Colorado 19.9% on their utility bills—$423 annually.
GOOD-PAYING JOBS: In 2021, there were already 61,179 Colorado workers employed in clean energy jobs. The Inflation Reduction Act will expand these opportunities, bringing an estimated $13.2 billion of investment in large-scale clean power generation and storage to Colorado between now and 2030. It provides a historic set of tax credits to create jobs across solar, wind, storage, and other clean energy industries. These credits include bonuses for businesses that pay a prevailing wage so that Colorado workers earn a good paycheck as we build the clean energy future in America.
DOMESTIC MANUFACTURING: Manufacturers employ 148,700 workers in Colorado, and the Inflation Reduction Act will help us make the technologies of the future at home— supporting local economies and strengthening supply chains. The Inflation Reduction Act will boost U.S. manufacturing of clean energy and transportation technologies and investments in a new Advanced Industrial Facilities Deployment Program to position America to lead the growing global market for clean steel, aluminum, cement, and more.
SMALL BUSINESSES: Colorado is home to 674,741 small businesses, representing 99.5% of all businesses in the state, and the Inflation Reduction Act will help them save money. Commercial building owners can receive a tax credit of up to $5 per square foot to support energy efficiency improvements that deliver lower utility bills. Other programs that will benefit small businesses include tax credits covering 30% of the costs of installing low-cost solar power and of purchasing clean trucks and vans for commercial fleets.
ELECTRIC VEHICLES: The Inflation Reduction Act will make it easier and cheaper to purchase an electric vehicle, with upfront discounts up to $7,500 for new EVs and $4,000 for used EVs, helping middle-class Americans skip the gas pump and save on fuel costs. In Colorado, millions of people will be eligible for these discounts. Colorado recently submitted a state plan for using funds from President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to build out EV charging stations along highways.
CLEANER AIR: The Inflation Reduction Act will significantly reduce pollution, resulting in 100,000 fewer asthma attacks in America in 2030, and position the U.S. to achieve President Biden’s climate goals. Lowering greenhouse gas emissions will avoid not only costly climate impacts from more extreme weather but also improve local air quality— preventing premature deaths and reducing air pollution. In addition to reducing pollution across the economy, the Act will benefit communities most in need of cleaner air, through environmental justice block grants, investments for cleaner buses and trucks, and a Clean Energy and Sustainability Accelerator that will prioritize emissions-reducing projects in disadvantaged communities and fund state and local green banks like the Colorado Clean Energy Fund.
RURAL OPPORTUNITIES: The Inflation Reduction Act supports climate-smart agriculture practices, which will help Colorado’s 39,000 farms lead on climate solutions and reward their stewardship. Electric cooperatives, which serve 680,000 homes, businesses, and other customers in Colorado, will for the first time be eligible for direct-pay clean energy tax credits. And this legislation dedicates investments for rural electric cooperatives to boost resiliency, reliability, and affordability through clean energy and energy efficiency upgrades.
RESILIENT COMMUNITIES : The Inflation Reduction Act will upgrade affordable housing, including projects that boost resilience in the face of intensifying extreme weather. In Colorado, tens of thousands of people live in affordable housing units that are eligible for upgrades like flood-proofing and storm resistance, as well as clean energy and electrification. A new Neighborhood Access and Equity Grant Program includes support for transportation projects and planning to protect against flooding, extreme heat, and more. The Inflation Reduction Act also invests in strengthening America’s forests, including programs focused on preventing wildfires and for tree planting projects that help protect communities from extreme heat, as well as over $4.5 billion for drought preparedness and response.

SD25 Candidate: Faith Winter
[[link removed]] IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Help Re-Elect Faith [[link removed]] My dad loves to tell the story that when I was growing up, every night at the dinner table I would pray for God to end homelessness and make more waterfalls. This hopeful, tenacious spirit never left me – leading me to pursue a life of community service and leadership. After graduating from the University of the Redlands with a bachelor's degree in environmental management and biology, I spent my career inspiring people into action, including training thousands of women to run for office at The White House Project and fighting for environmental justice as a Director for Enviro Citizen. I love organizing because I believe the best way to create change is by building power through people.
Learn More About Faith Here [[link removed]] Then in 2004, after inspiring countless other women to lead, I ran for Westminster City Council and won by a landslide. During my time on city council, I was a leader on renewable energy and protecting services for survivors of domestic violence. As Mayor Pro-Tem of Westminster, I helped lead Westminster to become the first platinum solar city in the state.
Since then, I have continued my leadership journey – first representing House District 35 and now Senate District 24.
I currently serve as Chair of the Senate Transportation & Energy Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee. I have fought tirelessly for hard-working Coloradans and their families in the legislature by sponsoring a key component of the Colorado Ready to Work jobs package, passing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, helping home-based businesses, and passing an energy efficiency standard. I am also the founding Executive Director of Emerge Colorado and the current National Training Director for VoteRunLead, all which work to engage women in the political process.
In 2004, I was named one of 30 people under 30 showing political leadership by the Youth Vote Coalition, in 2008, I was named one of the top ten most influential women in Denver by the Denver Examiner, in 2010, I was named Woman of the Year by Colorado Business and Professional Women northwest chapter, in 2012, I was named one of the up and coming women leaders to watch by the Denver Post, and in 2014, the Colorado Democratic Party named me their rising star.
When I’m not in the legislature or knocking on doors, I can be found hiking, cooking, and spending time with my family, my kids Tobin and Sienna, my husband Mark and our dogs and cat.
HD34 Candidate: Jenny Willford Jenny grew up just north of here in Wyoming. Her mom was a librarian, and her dad worked his way through school as a night janitor at Jenny’s elementary school. She saw how much they sacrificed for a better life for her and her brother. After graduating college, Jenny went to work defending our environment, health care choices for pregnant Coloradans, and working families. [[link removed]]
Tackling the Rising Cost of Living Help Jenny in CD8 [[link removed]]
Jenny knows that Colorado families are struggling to keep up with the impacts of an economy that prioritizes wealth over workers. From the cost of food to housing to health care and child care, we're all feeling the squeeze. Jenny is ready to get to work for us addressing the rising cost of living and inflation across Colorado. Learn More About Jenny Here [[link removed]]
From supporting the development of new affordable housing and affordable senior housing projects to increasing the minimum wage for city employees, to establishing one of the most generous municipal paid family leave programs in the state to ensuring that access to the city's recreation center, theater and senior center are affordable to providing child care during Ward 4 meetings, Jenny has been a champion for working families and will take that same work ethic to the state legislature.
Jenny is proudly endorsed by SEIU Local 105 and Colorado WINS.
Standing Up To the Gun Lobby
Whether it's big corporations or the oil and gas industry, Jenny has a history of standing up to bullies and she will stand up to the gun lobby. Jenny believes that gun violence is preventable and that assault style weapons (like AR-15's) have no place in our communities.
Jenny will hold the gun lobby and gun makers accountable, be a champion for public safety measures that will protect people from gun violence and encourage a culture of responsible gun ownership in order to make our families, schools, and communities safer.
Jenny is endorsed by Colorado Ceasefire and was a 2021 Mom's Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate.
