102 years ago today, the Nineteenth Amendment went into effect.

The road to women’s suffrage wasn’t a straight line. Women in many of the colonies had the right to vote, but by 1807, all of the state legislatures had rescinded women’s voting rights.

Then for over a hundred years, folks like you and me were working to change that. From staging marches to holding conventions, the suffrage movement was able to shift public opinion (all the way to the President announcing his support!)

While many were not able to celebrate their eventual win, their work was not in vain. In fact, Iowa Democrats are still building on it today as we protect voting rights and work to ensure everyone can write their own life story.

Chip in $19 today, in honor of the 19th Amendment, to help elect Democrats across Iowa as we continue the fight for equal rights and to protect EVERYONE’S right to vote.

CHIP IN $19

We’ve seen voting rights and civil liberties under attack for years and Democrats have been fighting tooth and nail to protect them.

Fighting back doesn’t come easy and it doesn’t come cheap. There’s always a venue to rent, catering to organize, and literature to print as we reach out to our friends and neighbors, asking them to join the fight.

That’s where we need your help, friend. Chip in $19, or whatever you can, to help us elect Democrats that are fighting to expand our rights, not restrict them.

Are you in?
