Evergreen Morning of Dreams is August 30!

Nationally recognized as an award winner for removing barriers in Parks, *Evergreen Morning of Dreams is a morning event for children and adults with special needs to experience the fun of the fair in a calmer setting.* With all of the lights and sounds, fair can create sensory overload. To increase accessibility for all, we provide a special morning fairgoers can experience the carnival, animals, exhibits and vendors with no lights or sounds and with fewer people. Please note that not all vendors or buildings may be available until 10:30 am, but we do have some special experiences happening only during Morning of Dreams.

Join us Tuesday, August 30 9:00-11:00 am

*9:00 am:* Morning of Dreams starts and the Fair Park is open to people with special needs and their guests. *Farmer For a Day opens*. Learn to milk a cow, pick an apple, dig potatoes, and gather eggs.* Food vendors, roving entertainment and animal barns* open early.

*Large yard games* behind the Courtyard Stage are available all day.

*9:00-10:30 am:* Snohomish County 4H will be hosting a *scavenger hunt* in the 4H building.

*10:00-11:00 am:* Kiddieland Carnival (north of the Event Center #604) is open without lights or music.

Accessibility at the Evergreen State Fair

Accessibility for all is a key part of the mission and vision of the Evergreen State Fair Park [ [link removed] ]. Come visit the fair knowing accessibility is how we roll. 


* In 2021, we heard from a Morning of Dreams attendee that an adult changing station would help her and her son enjoy the fair more. We are excited to report that this year we installed a new *adult changing station* for those who need the privacy and comfort of having this space. *It is located in the Western Heritage Museum on the SE side of the Fair Park. *
* In 2022, the *Snohomish County Parks & Recreation Accessibility Taskforce* evaluated the Evergreen State Fair Park for accessibility, made recommendations to our maintenance team on ways we can improve accessibility, which we have already begun to implement. The taskforce will also do a walkthrough during the fair!

*Wheelchair and Stroller Rentals*

Wheelchairs, power scooters, strollers and wagons are provided courtesy of Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Snohomish County, sponsored by Catholic Community Services. Valid ID is required and will be retained until rental is returned. For those without ID, a *security deposit will be required for all rentals. All equipment is rented on a first-come, first-served basis.

Strollers ----------------------- $15 / *$30
Wagons ----------------------- $15 / *$30
