If Trump is re-elected, he’ll believe he’s been given a mandate by the American people to double down on his first term policies. That could mean the Muslim Ban, shutting down DACA, immigrant family separations, white supremacists in the White House, calling Nazis “very fine people,” constant attacks on access to healthcare and food stamps while gutting taxes for wealthy corporations, and Brett Kavanaugh-style judicial nominees filling up every vacancy Mitch McConnell created in the federal judiciary will be just the beginning of the damage Trump does to our country.
