Old-growth forest lands will be at risk unless we can stop this
devastating Trump administration proposal!

Defender of Wildlife-

I wanted to make sure you saw this: Unless we raise our voices right
now, wildlife in the Tongass National Forest could be forced to flee
for their lives from an industrial invasion!

The Tongass in Alaska is home to wildlife found nowhere else in the
world. But the Trump administration is cutting protections against
roadbuilding and development to pave the way for private interests!

We only have a few days to stop this! Tell the Forest Service: Don't
let the Tongass be clear-cut for timber profits!

Dear Defender of
Wildlife,

Alaska's Tongass National Forest is home to animals found
nowhere else in the world.

And timber companies are just itching to cut it down.

The fight to protect the Tongass is now more urgent than ever as the
Trump administration recently moved forward with a devastating new
rule that would open millions of acres of this pristine forest to
clear-cut logging and roadbuilding.

This majestic forest habitat hosts an incredible array of wildlife
- and they won't all survive this greedy industrial
invasion.

We have to act now: Tell the Forest Service to keep existing wildlife
protections for the Tongass National Forest!

The Tongass provides habitat to Sitka black tailed deer, five species
of salmon, brown and black bears, bald eagles, wolves, and mountain
goats.

Migratory birds come from all over the continent to spend spring and
summer nesting and raising their young in the Tongass. Some animals,
like the Prince of Wales flying squirrel, live no place else on Earth.

But the current administration is blind to the true value of the
Tongass. They're focused on giving away our natural treasures to
private interests to plunder.

It's heartbreaking, but there's still time to stop this
catastrophic invasion. Tell the Forest Service: Don't let the
Tongass be clear-cut for timber profits!

Defender of
Wildlife, we can't let the
Forest Service sell out the Tongass. If timber companies clear-cut
this irreplaceable old-growth forest, the animals who live there will
be forced to flee for their lives - and with nowhere else to go,
many of them will die.

We want to live in a future where those animals are still with us.
Please take a moment and tell the Forest Service right now: The
Tongass and its wildlife are too valuable to destroy!

Thanks for your passion and your commitment.

Sincerely,

Patrick Lavin
