Friends, that’s right – this email is not poll-tested.

I believe that honesty and leadership have to go hand-in-hand. That means not being afraid to face uncomfortable topics head-on. Sometimes, it also means risking controversy – and I’m okay with that.

I’m not a fan of poll-tested political messages like we’re used to seeing. I call it like I see it. We won’t always agree, but I’ll always be willing to listen, because that’s what democracy is all about.

I’m running to uphold truth and reason in Washington, but I can’t do it alone. Will you pitch in $25 to this pro-democracy coalition?

Instead of engaging in civil discourse, my Republican opponent and his radical party are hell-bent on banning books, firing teachers, shutting down small businesses, and generally crushing anyone and anything that deviates from their far-right ideology.

Let’s be 100% clear: no one is going to stop us from having honest conversations about reproductive rights, gun violence, racial equality, the climate crisis, or anything else. End of story.

But first, we've got to hold onto blue battleground districts like this one. Can I count on you to support me in this fight with a donation of $25 or whatever you can?
