A federal judge just reinstated North Carolina’s 20-week abortion ban — severely restricting the right to choose here in our state.

After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade earlier this summer, we knew this was a possibility. But it doesn’t make this moment any less difficult for women in North Carolina and for women across the South who have traveled to our state to receive the health care they need.

Like many of you, I’m heartbroken. Not only is this decision a significant step back in our progress for women's rights, but it will endanger the health and safety of thousands. But as we process this news with frustration, sadness, and grief, we must also strengthen our resolve to fight back.

The people of North Carolina elected me to stand up for reproductive rights. I want you to know without a doubt that I will not give up and I will not back down — and I’m asking you to stand with me.

Maintaining and expanding our majority in Congress is the key to winning this fight. So if you can, please pitch in to help us prevent the GOP from controlling our government.
