Hey John,

It’s the first week of school for so many districts across North Texas! Whether you’re dropping your kids off, or if you’re still at home spending your last weeks of summer vacation with them, I hope you enjoy it.

The most important job I’ll ever have is being a dad. Creating a better future for all of our kids is what I work for every single day in Congress. I want nothing more than to give our children a chance to chase their version of the American Dream.

I know that as we drop our kids at school this week, there remains a fear that not enough has been done to protect them from senseless gun violence. I was proud to vote for the first meaningful piece of gun violence production legislation in 30 years and won’t stop working to reduce gun violence and save lives.

So today, I want to recommit to my efforts to create a safer and better future for the children of North Texas, and those across the country by celebrating the work we’ve already done in the first two years of the Biden Administration, and also acknowledge how much work is left to do.

We can only continue to pass historic legislation if Democrats defend our majority in the House of Representatives this year. So I wanted to ask if you’ll make a quick contribution to my campaign.
