Hi, friend.

My name is Brad Pfaff, and I’m honored to be the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin’s Third Congressional District.

Wisconsin has always been my home. I grew up on my family’s dairy farm in northern La Crosse County, among the rolling hills, coulees, and valleys of “God’s Country.”

As a farm boy, I learned the value of hard work, resilience, appreciation for the land, and respect for our community. The tried-and-true Wisconsin values my parents, neighbors, and teachers instilled remain with me today.

Community service is one of those homegrown values and has informed my professional life.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in public and environmental administration from the University of Wisconsin — Green Bay and a Master of Public Administration from George Mason University.

In 1997, I joined the congressional staff of Rep. Ron Kind, assisting him with agriculture and rural development issues for over 12 years. I’ve also been honored to work for Senator Herb Kohl and state Rep. Virgil Roberts. Deciding it was time to get into the arena, in 2007, I was elected to the La Cross County Board of Supervisors. In 2009, friend, I was privileged to serve the Obama Administration as the Wisconsin executive director for the Farm Service Agency at the U.S. Department of Agriculture and then, in 2015, as the USDA Deputy Administrator for Farm Programs. secure.actblue.com/donate/BPWI-03-Email-Aug2022-FR-August?refcode=E17852-20220818-BradStory-graphic-CampaignNews-RegTemplate-NA-NA&amount=25 [secure.actblue.com/donate/BPWI-03-Email-Aug2022-FR-August?refcode=E17852-20220818-BradStory-graphic-CampaignNews-RegTemplate-NA-NA&amount=25] Before my election to the State Senate in 2020, I led the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection. In this role, I was responsible for advocating for farmers’ mental health, increased market opportunities for farmers, and rural prosperity through broadband, health care, and education. If you agree that it’s time we had someone with the skills, experience, and values necessary to represent our district in Congress – rather than a far-right violent extremist – consider chipping in $20 to my campaign today. [[link removed]] Family is my rock, friend. I met my wife Betty, a West Salem native, at a 4-H leadership luncheon in high school. Today, we are the proud parents of two college-aged children. In good times and challenging days, my family sustains me. Now, I’m running for WI-03. [[link removed]] With the retirement of my friend and mentor, Rep. Ron Kind, our district is an ‘open seat’ this November. secure.actblue.com/donate/BPWI-03-Email-Aug2022-FR-August?refcode=E17852-20220818-BradStory-graphic-CampaignNews-RegTemplate-NA-NA&amount=25 [secure.actblue.com/donate/BPWI-03-Email-Aug2022-FR-August?refcode=E17852-20220818-BradStory-graphic-CampaignNews-RegTemplate-NA-NA&amount=25] I’m stepping up to continue representing the 3rd District in the way it deserves: with integrity, honesty, and always putting people first. We do not need a representative who lives and promotes extremist views and distorted values in our district. From La Crosse, Eau Claire, and Stevens Point to the Wisconsin suburbs of Minneapolis-St. Paul, we are a district of hard workers who respect our community and share Wisconsin values. Division, extremism, and calls to violence are not a part of who we are in the 3rd District — and they are not the qualities our Member of Congress should carry to Washington, D.C. Friend, I understand to my core the issues facing Wisconsin and Wisconsinites. That’s why I’m running for Congress. Now that you know my story, I would be honored if you could donate to my campaign today. My far-right opponent is well-funded, and I need your support.
