Folks, today is the anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote. But this right was only extended to a small percentage of women at the time, and the fight for voting rights and equal representation in government is ongoing. It’s clear we have far too few women representing us in Congress, and that needs to change. Today we’re asking you to sign our pledge to elect more Democratic women to Congress.
Andrea could become the first Latina elected to Congress in Oregon. Together, we can demand more representation and elect more Democratic women. Now, 102 years since the 19th Amendment was ratified, we must keep pushing forward for a more representative government. Thank you, Team Salinas
