Mitch McConnell on impeachment trial: “Everything I do during this, I’m coordinating with the White House counsel. There will be no difference between the president’s position and our position.”
Hello,
Mitch McConnell just made it abundantly clear: Despite being a juror himself, Mitch just told Fox News that he’s going to do anything and everything that Donald Trump wants done during the Senate’s impeachment trial.
For months, Mitch and the Republicans have screamed “witch hunt” and called the House impeachment inquiry a “kangaroo court.” But now the man who is essentially going to serve as the foreman of the jury is saying he’s going to work directly with the defendant!
Just like the sham FBI "investigation" into Brett Kavanaugh, Mitch is now promising to hold a SHAM TRIAL for one of the most serious responsibilities that the constitution gives the Senate.
Washington is broken. And this is just yet another example of how Mitch McConnell is the one who broke it.
For 35 years, Mitch has been in the Senate, and he’s done nothing but put personal gain and partisan politics first. He’s sided with the NRA, Big Pharma, and foreign enemies. Looted Medicare and Social Security to give yet another tax cut to the rich. Tried to gut our health care. And don’t even get us started on Merrick Garland or Brett Kavanaugh.
But enough is enough. American cannot afford another 6 minutes of Mitch McConnell, let alone another 6 years. Luckily, Moscow Mitch is up for reelection in 2020, and we’re building a grassroots movement to end his political career once and for all.
A group of donors has stepped up and offered to MATCH ALL GIFTS we receive until tomorrow at midnight so that we can hit our mid-month fundraising goal and send McConnell packing, but we’re counting on grassroots donors like you to give now if we’re going to have what we need to take Mitch on and win:
Let’s turn our anger and our outrage into action. Let’s show Mitch McConnell the power of what we the people can do.
Thanks for being the heart and the soul behind this grassroots movement,
The Ditch Mitch Fund
