Ready to get USMCA Over the Finish Line
This week, the White House announced an official agreement on the United States-Mexico-Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA). Passing the USMCA trade deal will be a major boost for our economy and will provide more than 160,000 new jobs in the U.S. – including over 6,000 jobs right here in Louisiana. This is a huge win for American workers!
For months, House Republicans have pushed vigorously for a final deal on USMCA while Speaker Pelosi wasted time and resources on her sham impeachment inquiry. Every day we delay this vote only costs us more jobs and a stronger economy.
President Trump, in particular, deserves tremendous credit for his dedication to delivering results for American families. Once USMCA is ratified, we can continue working to get better trade deals with other friends around the world who have already recognized that their economies will also benefit if they treat America more fairly in our outdated trade deals.

A Disappointing Abuse of Power
Washington Democrats have wanted to impeach President Trump since before he even took office. Despite years of investigations, Democrats have not produced a single piece of evidence that President Trump engaged in bribery, extortion, or any other high crimes or misdemeanors. And yet, this week, they unveiled two articles to impeach the president and called it a "solemn day."
When you want to impeach President Trump for everything he does, another 2 baseless articles of impeachment isn’t "solemn"—it's just business as usual.
Speaker Pelosi is bowing to the demands of the most radical elements of her base who want to reverse the results of the 2016 election, and deny the American people the right to determine who is president next year at the ballot box.
What is just as disappointing as this abuse of power by Speaker Pelosi is the decision by House Democrats to abandon working with President Trump to achieve real results for American families, instead choosing to devote their entire majority to their impeachment obsession.
Speaker Pelosi Plays Politics with Prescription Drug Prices
This week was a disaster for every American struggling to pay for their prescription medicines. Given the choice between a partisan drug plan that can never become law, and a bipartisan prescription drug bill that could be on the President’s desk this week, House Democrats chose Pelosi’s partisan drug plan.
The American people want a bipartisan solution to this pressing problem. We can still forge a consensus on prescription drug costs if Democrats quit with their partisanship and come to their senses.
This week, I called on Speaker Pelosi to halt all House Floor action on impeachment until we pass a bipartisan, realistic plan to lower prescription drug costs for American seniors and families.
