School Supplies Backpack Drive - You don't have to be there the entire time. Stop by for an hour or so!
I'm happy to report that we fulfilled all the backpack needs! They upped the backpack count from 50 to 74 but between our volunteers and First Baptist Church volunteers, we came pretty close to getting everything. The fire department will hand them out Saturday.
Thank you for the supplies and willingness to help out at the event! There is a parking lot located by the community garden. Our role will be to have FUN hanging out with the kids and help the church's volunteers with crafts and pizza. Of course, if you get into any conversations with the parents, give your best plug for Courtney! Please wear your Courtney Geels shirts! This is an opportunity to be present and serve this community.
