[1]President Biden signs bill(President Biden signs the Inflation
Reduction Act into law)

This is a pivotal piece of legislation. This is a huge part of the
Democratic Party’s agenda for 2022, and it’s finally passed. We’re in a
period of time post-pandemic where economies world-wide are suffering from
severe inflation, and our country is no exception. We’re subject to the
same economic forces as the rest of the world. But this law now works to
combat that and make sure that our economy doesn’t decline or fall into
recession. This is a critical time to maintain stability – so let’s be
proud of our Democrats in Congress for passing this act despite
considerable Republican opposition.

For those of you who don’t know, the Inflation Reduction Act allocates
$750 billion dollars towards energy and healthcare to help reduce costs in
these important sectors for the average citizen. Some highlights from
the Inflation Reduction Act include:

* Incentives for consumers and businesses to use cleaner energy sources.
* Higher regulation of fossil fuel drilling on public lands.
* Funding for relief programs in communities heavily affected by climate
issues, such as air and water pollution.
* Allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices for high-cost drugs, a policy
that Democrats have been trying to pass for years.
* Drug caps for seniors on Medicare, including insulin.
* Increased Affordable Care Act premium assistance.

This milestone legislation is a huge step in the right direction. As
Democrats we fight for the American people and try to better the lives for
all of us. The Republicans can not say the same.  It’s clear that they are
a party that only takes care of themselves. We need to vote them out of
our government.
