Become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for FREE and join the next generation of Minnesota's health care workers. Minnesota State University - Mankato is offering three tuition-free, hybrid Next Generation Nursing Assistant class sections this fall, beginning on September 5, October 3, or October 31. The free CNA classes are part of the state's Next Generation Nursing Assistant initiative, which has surpassed its goal of training over 1,000 nursing assistants to address the workforce shortage.

Made possible with a $3.4 million investment from federal American Rescue Plan funds, the initiative has allowed the State to cover the cost of tuition, books, uniform, and certification exam fee for anyone interested in pursuing a career as a nursing assistant.

Additional tuition-free CNA classes will be available this fall!
