Dear Morningside Center friends,

We are excited to share with you a new resource for making your school more equitable and joyful for all students and adults.

Teaching as an Act of Solidarity: A Beginner’s Guide to Equity in Schools is an offering to our community of our learnings from an amazing project we were able to undertake over the past five years through a federal Investing in Innovation (i3) grant to develop and test a model for achieving “Whole School Racial Equity.”

A key outcome of the project was to share what we learned by creating and distributing a wide range of practical tools and strategies to support schools across the country.
Teaching as an Act of Solidarity: A Beginner’s Guide to Equity in Schools provides a scoped and sequenced series of activities to build connection, trust, and community through social and emotional learning, restorative practices, and racial equity.
