On this day 102 years ago, the 19th amendment was ratified – officially granting women the right to vote.

Can you believe that just over one century ago, women were not seen nor valued enough to be allowed to participate in our democracy?

Is it even harder to believe that just over one month ago, women were told by the government that they’re not allowed to have a say over their own reproductive health?

It’s devastating how many steps forward we’ve taken on women’s rights only to move a hundred steps back.

Voting is a right that every woman has today thanks to the work and organizing efforts of the women before us.

This November, each and every one of us who are eligible must take full advantage of our right to vote.

Electing Democrats up and down the ballot at the local, state, and federal level is the only way we’ll guarantee women and pregnant people have access to safe and legal abortions.
