Recently, Kansas voters achieved a historic result by voting to reject a ballot initiative that would’ve removed the right to an abortion from the state constitution. You know who’s never had that sort of political success in Kansas?
Republican candidate for Kansas AG, Kris Kobach.
Kobach is a fervent anti-abortion extremist, who was a strong proponent of the ballot initiative that Kansans glaringly rejected just a few weeks ago. It’s reminiscent of a time when Kansas voters recently rejected Kobach’s previous runs for elected office — twice.
Democratic Governor Laura Kelly is popular in the state and we’ve just witnessed that voters will turn out to support reproductive rights. Someone famous once said you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, and this year, we have a clear shot to keep an anti-abortion extremist out of office.
