Did you see this? President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law which includes the largest investment to combat climate change in American history.

This is major step forward for the climate movement.

We can take a moment to celebrate, but then we must press forward and elect more climate champions at all levels of government to fight for the people, our climate, and our independence from fossil fuels.

This bill includes measures to cut emissions and ramp up tax incentives for investments in wind, solar, and renewable and clean energy industries over the next few years. Pushing these measures through Congress is a reminder of what’s possible when climate champions act to protect our planet.

However, the Inflation Reduction Act will not magically stop the climate crisis. The law is flawed and includes a number of concessions and giveaways to the fossil fuel industry.
