 One of the most sophisticated human trafficking operations in the world isn't in Asia or Europe – it's right here on American soil, and it's happening on YOUR dime. Unaccompanied children are pouring over our borders by the tens of thousands. Our government wants you to believe that you're rescuing children in need and giving them hope for a new, peaceful life… But the truth is we're just taking them from bad situations and dumping them into worse ones. The rosy images of the United States offering refuge to suffering kids are the stuff of Hollywood fantasy, not border zone reality. The truth is the Biden Administration's immigration policies don't just hurt American citizens. They also have a negative impact on the lives of the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors who make the dangerous journey to our border every year. In 2021, American shelters received a record 122,000 unaccompanied alien children, and still more continue to stream toward our borders. Unaccompanied child migrants receive special "protections" under the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and other legislation – but the very laws put in place to "protect" them actually put them in considerable danger. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has already lost about 20,000 children – and those are just the ones that we know of. Because we fast track the processing for unaccompanied children and then put them into a system that can't keep track of them, we put a target on their backs and make them easy prey for traffickers. In fact, a Congressional Report from 2014 found that HHS literally placed alien minors with "sponsors" who were human traffickers!
