John,
Arizona Republicans are once again trying to disguise their racist voter suppression laws as an attempt to clean up voter rolls.
Arizona’s new law, SB 1260, will make it harder for Arizona voters to cast a ballot if they’ve previously been registered in another state. It will also criminalize individuals and organizations, like Voto Latino, who provide voting assistance to Arizona voters if the person they are helping is registered to vote in another state. It goes into effect next month.
Having multiple voter registrations is quite common among young voters, college students, older voters who have moved to Arizona, and other transient voters who are more likely to be people of color.
Voto Latino is committed to protecting Latino voting rights in Arizona and beyond. That’s why we’re suing Arizona. Will you pitch in now to support our work mobilizing Latino voters in Arizona and across the country?

We’re committed to making sure that Latino voters have a fair chance to have their say at election time. And that means we’re going to fight like hell against unconstitutional laws like SB 1260.
Republicans know that when our young Latinos are organized and mobilized, our votes are an unstoppable force. That’s why they’re working so hard to stop us. Young Latinos turning out to vote in Arizona and nationwide will be a deciding factor in whether Democrats keep control of the House and Senate this fall.
Our team at Voto Latino is prepared to do whatever it takes to build Latino political power in Arizona and across the country. Will you rush a contribution now to help?
