We’ve had some incredible victories in the last few weeks, including this month’s failed ballot initiative which would’ve given state legislators the power to ban abortion without exceptions statewide. We’ve also passed the Inflation Reduction Act to lower the deficit, health care costs, and fight climate change. Now, we need to keep up our momentum.
That’s why we just launched our newest TV ad of the election to spread some of the great work this team does for KS-03. But the bad news is: As of yesterday, Adkins is on the air with a new ad too.
And now: Far-right groups are trying to ignore the clear will of the voters by demanding a recount on the anti-abortion ballot measure.
Every voter should know the truth about my opponent. Her allegiance has always been to Sam Brownback, not the people of Kansas. As his campaign manager, she supported his disastrous tax scheme which devastated our schools and hurt working families. And as a registered lobbyist, she pushed for legislation written by Brownback whenever she could.
Is that really someone who should be representing Kansans in Congress?
Adkins is on a losing streak: In 2020, we defeated her by 10 points. Earlier this month, we defeated her ballot initiative by nearly 20 points and the recount will only further cement that victory. And in November, we’ll defeat her again — with your help.
