Early this morning I came to you with bad news – our fundraising had really slowed right before the incredibly important pre-primary FEC deadline. So I made a big ask – I set a $75,000 24 hour fundraising goal, and I asked you to chip in just $23.67 to get us there.

And John, folks have started to step up. Maybe they remember that I won my last race by a razor-thin margin of 1,017 votes, or perhaps they understand just how important a strong pre-primary showing is in keeping us on track for victory, no matter which extreme Republican becomes my opponent. Either way, I’m incredibly grateful.

But unfortunately, we’re still not where we need to be.

So I’m asking if just a few more of you – who may have been waiting to donate or don’t know if your dollars will make a difference – can rush us a gift. If you can give more than $23.67, please do. Larger donations will help us make up crucial ground towards our goal quickly. But if matching that $23.67 average email donation is what’s holding you back, I’ll ask you to chip in just $15, $10, or even $3.

In a race this tight, every donation – large and small – has a real impact. And in today’s race against the clock to meet our 24-hour goal, we urgently need ALL hands on deck. So please, if you are on the fence, consider giving what you can. We can’t afford to miss this goal.
