I, the undersigned, pledge to vote against climate deniers and delayers this year.

Friend,

We all know what climate deniers are. But in case you’re not familiar, we need to discuss an even GREATER threat: climate delayers.

Climate delayers are politicians who claim to be pro-climate. They campaign on a platform of change and progress, and openly admit that we have a major climate crisis.

But when key votes occur, these politicians are nowhere to be found. They are perhaps the biggest reason that California hadn’t passed any major climate legislation in the last four years until the California Recycling and Plastic Pollution Reduction Act last month.

As climate delayers team up with corporate polluters to squander our hopes to move California forward, we’re asking you to pledge to vote against these politicians who say one thing but do another.

We hate to say it, friend, but many of these “delayers” who consistently miss key climate votes — or even go so far as to vote against them — are Democrats.

If you’re surprised by that, consider this: Over half of all Democrats in Sacramento (52%!) accept campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry. The number of Democrats who received failing grades on our environmental scorecard is simply staggering.

Corporate polluters continue to hold an iron-like grip over far too many lawmakers in Sacramento. And we’ve had enough.

Our elected leaders have a responsibility to meet the urgency of the moment and act NOW to solve the climate crisis. We have some true climate champions doing tremendous work, but weak action and further delays from those who claim to be leaders will only guarantee that climate disasters become more frequent and intense.

We need bold climate action now!

If you agree, add your name to pledge to vote against climate deniers and delayers in the upcoming November 2022 election >>

Thank you for taking action!
