John,
Washington state faces an unprecedented moment in our modern history: Joe Kent, a white nationalist who praises and shares the views of openly racist far-right figures, may win one of our seats in Congress.
Our state cannot let this happen, and we must act immediately to prevent it.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is the Democrat who won the top-two primary in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, and must defeat Kent.
As soon as the primary results were finalized, Cook Political Report upgraded the race from Solid Republican to only Lean Republican.
Please split a contribution between Marie’s campaign and my reelection campaign so we can defeat far-right extremism and expand our Democratic majorities up and down the ballot in November! Joe Kent wants to ban nearly all immigration into the United States, including refugees from Afghanistan and Ukraine. He opposes citizenship for the children of non-white immigrants, speaks at white nationalist rallies, and appears on white supremacist-linked talk shows.
Recently, Joe Kent spoke to a far-right group, the American Populist Union, which has been denounced by the Anti-Defamation League as having links to white supremacy. He has courted prominent white nationalists, and posed for a photo with a media personality who described Adolf Hitler as a “complicated historical figure” who “many people misunderstand.”
A candidate like Kent should never get elected to any public office.
Please contribute to Marie’s campaign to help defeat one of the most extreme candidates for Congress. [[link removed]]
