MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor and First Lady to announce next 7 schools in Friends with Paws statewide school therapy dog program tomorrow at 12:00 p.m.

WHO: Gov. Jim Justice and First Lady Cathy Justice, Upshur County Schools Superintendent Dr. Sara Lewis-Stankus, Communities In Schools (CIS) Site Coordinators Shannon Pace, Sarah Linger, and Krista Sappey, and Vicki Shannon and Serena Nichols from the Office of First Lady Cathy Justice.
WHAT: The Governor and First Lady will give an update on the Friends With Paws certified therapy dog program and announce the next seven schools that will receive dogs this coming fall.
MEDIA NOTE: The seven schools that will receive dogs this fall are in counties within the Bluefield, Charleston-Huntington, and DC-Hagerstown media markets.
In collaboration with the nonprofit West Virginia Communities In Schools, the program places certified therapy dogs in schools across the state, providing companionship and comfort for students in need of a boost.
