American women now make up almost half the workforce -- but still only earn 81 cents to every 1 dollar men earn on average. It is ridiculous that in 2019, women are still being paid less than men for equal work.

I am in awe of the advocacy of the US Women’s National Soccer Team on this issue -- to say nothing of their back-to-back World Cup Championships! Yet again, they outperformed the men’s team -- and yet again, they’ve been severely underpaid.

Folks, the truth is -- on the soccer field and in every field -- women should be receiving equal pay for equal work. It’s as simple as that, really!
