John — I want to walk you through what will happen if Doug Mastriano wins this election.

If abortion were banned in Pennsylvania because of Mastriano, it would be devastating.

Already we’re hearing about women in other states where abortion is banned trying to receive the procedure but can’t — or women who miscarried and were refused treatment and proper health care. It’s scary, John. Not just for the women who don’t want to give birth but for the women who really do, but something goes wrong.

Having our health care decisions made for us by politicians is wrong and frankly scary. But that’s what Mastriano wants to do in Pennsylvania.

An abortion ban would hurt Pennsylvanians’ pocketbooks, too. Pennsylvania-based businesses like Duolingo – which employs more than 500 people – have pledged to move out of the Commonwealth and the state would likely lose billions of dollars in revenue if an abortion ban becomes law. We saw something similar happen in North Carolina after the GOP passed their “bathroom bill” — the state lost dollars and jobs, and we can’t afford that here in Pennsylvania.
