Local Convention Rules RELEASED

The Local Convention Working Group have drafted up the Local Convention Rules for the General Membership's review and comments. You can take a look at them at:

Per Section 2 of the Convention section of the Sacramento DSA Bylaws, "All convention rules shall be written by ad hoc working group, be posted to the entire membership 30 days in advance of a Local Convention, be amendable, and require ratification by 2⁄3 majority at the commencement of the Local Convention."

Bylaw Amendment Submission REMINDER

In the spirit of continuous improvement, any Sacramento DSA dues-paying member can submit Bylaw Amendments to be voted upon during the Local Convention. The current Bylaws can be found here: https://sacdsa.org/resources/bylaws/

Friendly reminder that Bylaw Amendments must be submitted by this Thursday, August 18th, 2022 by 11:59pm PT.

Per our Local’s Bylaws, “The Local Convention will be the highest deliberative body of the Local to amend its structure and decide the political priorities of the Local between Local Conventions.”

Bylaw Amendments will be compiled by the Local Convention Working Group in preparation for the Annual Local Convention.
