Dwight Evans for Congress

John,

Hard-earned pensions are at risk for over 1.3 million employees and retirees around the country today -- despite them doing everything right.

These folks paid into their retirement, year after year choosing to contribute to their pensions instead of taking a higher wage. But now, after working for decades, their carefully planned retirements may now be taken away from them -- and at the worst possible time as they near the finish line of their careers.

But House Democrats have a plan to stop that from happening. The Butch Lewis Act.

Just recently, I stood with my colleagues to pass the bipartisan Butch Lewis Act in the House to save the pensions of folks all across the country. We have a moral obligation to take care of our current and future retirees for years to come. These people worked hard and played by the rules, so we must ensure they get what they deserve, John.

Now, I want to know what you think. On a scale of 1 (not very important) to 5 (most important), how important is saving hard-earned pension plans to you?

I'm in Congress to serve the people, John. And now I urge Mitch McConnell and others in the Senate to join us in the fight to avert this pension crisis that millions of American workers would inevitably have to face if we don't take swift and meaningful action.

How strongly do you support this financial lifeline for pension plans at risk? Take the quick survey today >>

Thanks,

Dwight
