Read that headline again and take a minute to think about it.
I wrote an opinion piece for the New York Times outlining my efforts to find common ground and pass police reform legislation.
And the New York Times wanted to run it by Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
Since when do black conservative voices and opinions have to be approved by the Democrat leader of the Senate? Or any conservative voice, for that matter!
This is the same mainstream media that spent four months fact-checking my life story, discovering that my grandfather dropped out of school in 4th grade and not 3rd grade.
While this is not surprising, I am keenly aware that I don’t fit in with the liberal narrative. It is still alarming to see this kind of censorship for ANY conservative voice.
That’s why I am asking you to stand once again with me against the intolerant media.

We cannot allow the New York Times to get away with its ongoing bias against conservative voices. That’s why I need you on my team.

PS. Chuck Schumer did not (and will never) approve this message.
