Donald Trump is trying to capitalize on the FBI’s search of his Florida home. His baseless assertion that Democrats are weaponizing the federal justice system is ludicrous, but his minions are echoing this talking point.
As expected, Trump allies jumped to his defense in a stunning break from reality, crying out to “defund the FBI!” They are frothing at the prospect of accountability to the rule of law.
If Republicans take Congress in less than 90 days, they’ll try to stop investigations into Donald Trump.
