Last week, Lizzie and the House passed a major bill that includes common-sense provisions to allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices for prescription drugs, lower health costs, and extend subsidies so people can afford health insurance on the exchanges, and reduce emissions while supporting our energy economy here in Texas.
We were thrilled to see so many new and familiar faces at our August Day of Action this weekend. #TeamLizzie covered a lot of ground talking to our TX-07 neighbors about Lizzie, the work she’s doing for our community in Congress, and the important races on the ballot this November that will have big implications for our state and country.

Last week, Lizzie and our campaign team also met with Harris County precinct chairs in #TX07 to share ideas ahead of the final sprint to November. These grassroots leaders are a critical force behind Democratic momentum building across our community.

Lizzie is proud to fight for our LGBTQ+ community in Congress. It’s especially important now when there are threats to our fundamental rights to privacy, autonomy, and dignity. Lizzie is taking steps to codify the right to same-sex marriage and civil rights for LGBTQ+ Texans in the workplace, housing, public accomodations, education, federal funding, credit, and the jury system. And for the dignity and equality of all Americans.
