Friends –
This past Supreme Court term saw some of the most extreme rulings in modern history, and the ultraconservative majority on the court is putting politics before the law, attacking reproductive rights and laying the groundwork to dismantle LGBTQ+ rights.
That’s why we have to reform the Supreme Court.
Sign on if you agree: REFORM THE COURT >> [[link removed]]I don’t say that lightly. But we all know what’s at stake, and we need to ensure that the Supreme Court is fulfilling its duty to serve the Constitution, not a political agenda.
In the same week that the court weakened states’ ability to regulate firearms, they gave the states free rein on limiting Americans’ reproductive rights. Not only are their rulings ideologically extreme, but they aren’t even consistent. Rather than following a coherent judicial philosophy, the conservative majority on the court is simply enacting the GOP’s policy agenda.
The Supreme Court must be a neutral interpreter of the Constitution and objective arbiter of the law. If it cannot perform that task, then Congress must act to reform the court and protect Americans from its ideological overreach.
Sign on if you agree: REFORM THE COURT >> [[link removed]]I want to see the credibility and legitimacy of the court restored, and I thank you for joining me as we work together toward that end.
