Right now, the Central Valley and High Desert are facing an unprecedented water shortage.

As the future of our planet begins to look hotter and drier by the day, it’s important that we elect representatives who will fund solutions for boosting our water supply.

Farmers, families, and our communities are bearing the brunt of these issues while politicians like Kevin McCarthy refuse to acknowledge the severity of the climate crisis. He’s more interested in depositing checks from oil companies and fossil fuel polluters than fixing one of the biggest issues impacting his constituents.

The truth is that California is facing some of the worst effects of the climate crisis -- longer and more intense fire seasons, record-high temperatures, and what is on track to be the worst drought in 1,200 years.

We need someone who believes in the impacts of climate change to go to bat for this community before it’s too late.

I'm ready to bring my firsthand experience and knowledge of agriculture and water issues to Congress so I can FIGHT for this district and address our climate crisis, but I need to know you’re with me. This issue is personal for me. My husband John and I raised our three kids on an apple orchard where he worked. We're both very familiar with the farming community’s need for water -- not to mention the importance of clean drinking water for the rest of the Central Valley and High Desert. John is still working with farmers in the area, and we hear about this issue regularly.

We cannot afford to waste any more time waiting for climate change deniers to address California’s water crisis. Our communities need water now, and I’m prepared to do everything in my power to make that happen.
