Our campaign is facing a billionaire opponent who can bankroll his own campaign. So, I mean it when I say that meeting these goals is increasingly important as we near Election Day.

Rick Caruso is worth $4.3 billion . He couldn’t be more distant from issues we face on the ground in Los Angeles. He can simply relax on his $100 million yacht and drop a few million dollars on ads when it suits him. But spending a hefty $40 million of his own money in the primary election couldn’t make up for his lack of vision and experience in government. (We expect him to spend even more in the general election.)

The truth is – Caruso will do or say whatever it takes to get into power, but his record speaks for itself. During the Trump Administration, he was a Republican. In fact, he only registered as a Democrat a few weeks before he announced his mayoral candidacy! And he has donated millions to Republicans and anti-choice candidates over the years.

We deserve a mayor who meets the needs of the people – not just the wealthy and connected, but every Angeleno, especially those who need a helping hand. I'm proud to be a part of Karen's grassroots campaign, and we've made it this far because of YOUR belief in the movement we're building.
