Hey team – President Biden just signed the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) into law!

After months of hard work and negotiations, I’m thrilled to have helped pass this historic investment in America. I can’t overstate how much of an impact the IRA will have on families in MI-11 and across the country.

Not only will it lower prescription drug and energy costs for millions of Americans, it will also reduce inflation by closing tax loopholes and confront the climate crisis by lowering emissions. It’s the biggest climate investment this country has ever made.

It’s a win for the environment, a win for workers, a win for manufacturers, and a win for Michigan.

I’ve always believed that legislation should have positive impacts all across the country. It’s my job to deliver the things that our communities need, like jobs, infrastructure, and savings. Thankfully, the IRA does just that.

I’m so excited about this bill’s signing, but we can’t stop now. Democrats need to expand their Congressional majorities to continue delivering results for the American people. Simply put, this has been one of the most productive legislative sessions in recent history and I am proud to be a part of it.
