It’s official: The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has been signed into law by President Biden!

This groundbreaking legislation allows Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices, caps out-of-pocket prescription drug costs for Medicare recipients, and penalizes pharmaceutical corporations for raising Medicare drug prices faster than inflation.

It also extends Affordable Care Act subsidies for 13 million Americans -- preventing insurance premiums from skyrocketing at the end of this year, and keeping millions of people on their health insurance.

This legislation lowers carbon emissions while also cutting energy bills for millions of households, targeting aid to low-income communities, disproportionately communities of color, and creating millions of renewable energy jobs.

The Inflation Reduction Act is proof that when we never give up fighting for policies that produce long-term results for working and middle class families -- we win.

We wouldn’t have won without you. And yes, we know there’s so much more we have left to do.
