House passes Inflation Reduction Act, sending climate and health bill to Biden

Last week, Matt and Democrats in the House delivered a huge win for families in Northeastern Pennsylvania and across the country by passing the Inflation Reduction Act. This is a historic piece of legislation that will lower health care costs and tackle the climate crisis.

The Inflation Reduction Act will allow Medicare to negotiate lower drug prices for the first time in history. It also caps out-of-pocket costs for insulin at $35 a month, meaning more people can afford the life-saving medications they need.

This bill also makes the largest investment in climate solutions ever, including boosting clean energy manufacturing in the United States, investing in a reliable electric grid, providing home energy efficiency rebates, and more. This will help to ensure that our planet is protected for generations to come.
