Early voting is live for the August 23rd Primary. New Yorkers across the state will be voting for their nominees for Congressional Representatives and State Senators. If you tried to vote over the weekend and did not see me or your congressional representatives on the ballot - don’t worry! We are all unopposed, so our races do not appear on the ballot for this round of voting.

While I’m not on the ballot, please make sure to vote if your district has an election. You can vote early through August 21st, or vote on August 23rd, the second Primary Election Day of the summer. Our next election will be the General Election on November 8th.

The New York State government works together to pass policies that impact the daily lives of New Yorkers from Syracuse to Albany and all the way to our district in Queens, and the Federal Government passes laws that affect folks all across the country, including in our district. Voicing your opinion on who runs our government, in all branches and positions, is vital to the health and success of our democracy. So make your plan to vote today! ([link removed])

I may not be facing a primary this cycle, but a few of my valued colleagues are facing tough races. Every one of these Senators is a fighter for their communities, and I need them back next session so we can fight for fair funding for public education, the New York Health Act, a New Deal for CUNY, and leading protections for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers.
