Today, we’re endorsing Eddie Geller in the Democratic primary for Florida’s open 15th Congressional District.

Eddie is a video producer, comedian, and activist running for a competitive open seat in the newly-drawn district covering the outskirts of Tampa Bay.

From the first day of his campaign, Eddie has used his unique comedic messaging talents to highlight the urgency of protecting our democracy, holding corporations accountable, and delivering on quality health care and living wages.

This is no joke! The Florida primary is one week from today and as Democrats notch successes and the political landscape shifts against Republicans, this open seat could be very competitive to Democrats in November.

In these times of climate change and a democracy under attack, you can laugh or cry -- but either way, we must fight.

Right now, we have a real chance to bring a fresh perspective to Congress, and bring in a Congressman that will be ready to crack a good punchline when Republicans are up to antics and pack a punch when it comes to bold legislation to expand affordable healthcare and protect our democracy.

Eddie is currently outraising all of his Democratic competitors ahead of the August 23 primary election, and has also received support from Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and Moms Demand Action.

With Democrats now favored in the 2022 generic ballot, Dave Wasserman of Cook Political Report says, "we’re no longer living in a political environment as pro-GOP as November 2021."
