It may have been days since he last ate — will you help?

Dear John,

After seven years of unspeakable violence and conflict, Yemeni families at the heart of one the world’s worst humanitarian disasters face starvation.

The situation was already dire, but the war in Ukraine and extreme climate events are driving food shortages and massive price hikes across the globe. If you’ve seen the impact on your own grocery shopping, imagine the devastating effect it’s having on vulnerable displaced people.

In response to this ongoing crisis, we are joining forces with the World Food Programme (WFP), the lead UN agency in the fight against global hunger, to raise much needed funds to reach displaced people on the brink of famine.

This joint appeal brings together UNHCR’s expertise in protecting those who have been forced to flee, and WFP’s knowledge of fighting against hunger and delivering food assistance during emergencies. Together, we will be able to reach even more displaced families and offer additional support where it’s needed the most.

Please give today to maximize the power of your donation through this partnership.

Tonight, thousands of malnourished Yemeni children are going to bed hungry — it may have been days since they last ate. A lack of food has left families starving, exhausted, and acutely vulnerable to diseases like COVID-19, cholera and malaria.

This is a critical moment. Could you once again show your support and make another donation to help those desperate for something to eat? Your money can help save lives.

Your gift today will be sent to where it’s needed the most to help those struggling with hunger in Yemen by providing emergency rations and direct financial assistance.

Thank you again for your continued dedication and support,

UNHCR & World Food Programme
