With only 'the juice' in tow, a freshly minted group of "interrupters" in McKeesport is working to halt the spread of violence in their community. The new initiative treats gun violence as a disease – one that can be transmitted among a community and, with tireless effort and the right individuals involved, perhaps disrupted.

“How do we change the narrative and perception in McKeesport?” said one interrupter, Keith Murphy. “It can’t be ‘another shooting.’”
