Life in the Slow Lane with New Baby Sloth
There's a new youngster at the San Diego Zoo, and she is "slow" cute!
Xena, the Zoo's Linnaeus's two-toed sloth ambassador, gave birth
recently to an adorable little girl, and both are doing just fine.
Wildlife care specialists report that the young sloth is doing well,
instinctively clinging to her mother, nursing and gaining strength
each day.
As wildlife ambassadors for their species, guests may see Xena and her
baby during a wildlife presentation at the Rady Ambassador
Presentation Area in Wildlife Explorers Basecamp or during an
Exclusive VIP Experience-a special five-hour, upgraded Zoo tour.
This very popular tour requires advance reservations (minimum 72
hours) and is subject to availability.
