SHOULD SOCIAL SECURITY BE PROTECTED?

[link removed]

Friend,

Eighty-seven years after President Franklin Roosevelt signed the Social Security Act on August 14, 1935, Social Security remains one of our nation’s most successful and progressive programs.

All across the country, American seniors and people with disabilities rely on Social Security as a source of income assistance. The program has lifted millions of children above the poverty line and provided a foundation of retirement protection for people at all earning levels.

But Republicans are threatening to slash this essential, lifesaving program, and Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett refused to say whether or not she believed the program was constitutional. If the GOP prevails in the midterms, Social Security could be privatized or cut entirely.

We believe Social Security has continuously made a positive impact on the lives of so many Americans. But we want to know what you think:

SHOULD SOCIAL SECURITY BE PROTECTED?
