Don’t get us wrong — the GOP has had terrible policies and priorities for a long time. Remember what happened the last time Republicans had federal power?

We shudder to think what today’s Republicans — people who have embraced QAnon conspiracies, cozied up to insurrectionists, and have even spoken at white nationalist events — would do with power.

GOP lawmakers are already talking about passing a NATIONAL abortion ban, and they’re attacking LGBTQ freedoms. Worst of all, with control of the House Majority, their next attempt to overturn a presidential election could actually succeed! That would be game over for our democracy.

We can’t afford to find out what these extreme Republicans would do if they came to power, John.
