Hello John,

When you are entrusted with top secret clearance like I was when I was a soldier, it is not something you take lightly. Those of us that served know what it means to protect our nation's secrets. It means the protection of the homeland and our citizens, and for those reasons we don’t mess around. We sure as hell don’t take home classified documents.

We are not the only ones that live by this code. Our families and loved ones do as well. They know that we have security clearance and they don’t, and they would never betray their country by asking us to reveal anything they’re not supposed to know. It’s for their protection and ours.

Soldiers are not the only ones that have security clearance. Lawmakers and senior advisors do as well, along with our intelligence community members and law enforcement. All of us go through extensive background checks before we’re entrusted with this duty that we respect and take very seriously.

It’s an honor knowing that this country entrusted me with its secrets. I’ve always championed America, and as a vet, I fought for my country. I have a strong relationship with my country, one that I want to uphold in good faith and will. I’m loyal and true to America – anything less and I wouldn’t be able to call myself a patriot.

That’s why it angers me when my other fellow Americans break that trust. If you fail to serve your country, you can’t consider yourself a patriot! When you have power in your hands, you are not supposed to abuse it! Certainly not if you held the highest security clearance in America and sat at the head of our government. You stabbed us in the back, Trump.

A man like Trump should’ve never been anywhere near national security clearance anyway! When you receive your security clearance, they vet everything. They talk to my friends and relatives and former coworkers, they dig through an entire decade of information. They find everything. It’s a complete sham that Trump and his whole cult of cronies and criminals managed to find their way through, but unfortunately, they did. These dishonest, unfaithful people managed to get their hands on our nation’s most guarded information.

America’s secrets are powerful. Our nation is still the greatest in the world. Our enemies are just waiting for blood in the water, the right moment to strike. We cannot provide them an opportunity by letting our guard down, nevertheless have turncoats slipping secrets to them for scraps.

I was proud when I received my security clearance. I felt like America had embraced me – given me a treasure that I should guard safely. That’s what loyalty is, it’s beyond value. There’s no price tag that would make me sell my country away. No amount of money measures up to the honor of serving and protecting this nation.

But that means we need to make sure that we condemn treason, and Trump is no exception. He’s the caricature of dishonesty. There’s not an ounce of loyalty to be found within that man’s rotten soul. The GOP has chosen to side with this abomination of a person, and I think that says a lot about how rotten they are, too.

I’m leading the way with No Dem Left Behind to help get these people out of our government. We don’t need traitors and turncoats in our government, waiting to sell us out. They are fundamentally anti-American and want to overthrow our government. They don’t belong here, and we need to get them out.
