Today is the 1-year anniversary of the fall of Kabul during Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from the mission in Afghanistan. We all remember the sights of the withdrawal… Afghans hanging to the side of planes and falling to their death…The bodies of 13 service members who were needlessly killed being carried out in coffins…Mothers trying to hoist their babies over the wall at the airport. For me, though, the image that is seared into my mind is the look in the eyes of my son, Brian Mast, as he questioned whether losing both of his legs in Afghanistan was worth it. HELP ME SHOW HIM WE SUPPORT HIM! You see, he was serving in the Kandahar region of Afghanistan working to keep his fellow soldiers safe from war’s most dangerous weapon – the improvised explosive device. The last bomb planted by the Taliban that he found resulted in the loss of both of his legs and part of his hand. So, when Joe Biden completely abandoned the mission he had sacrificed so much for, it made him wonder whether his sacrifice was worth it. Over the past year, though, that feeling of disgust has turned into determination. Brian has spent these past 12 months doing everything he can to hold Biden accountable, so that a tragedy like this doesn’t ever happen again. But – if I’m being honest – that has cut into his ability to fundraise for re-election, and early voting has already begun in his race! So, with election day next week, Brian is running out of time to fund his Get Out The Vote operation. That’s why I’ve offered to help him: I don’t want Brian to have to worry about his election with so much else on his mind. He needs to stay focused on Afghanistan and holding Joe Biden accountable. Please, we still need more than $7,000 to keep his campaign on track. Do you think you can help by making a donation? On today of all days, when my son and every other Afghanistan veteran are going through a lot, I know this will help make a difference. SUPPORT MY SON’S MISSION HERE Thank you in advance for the support! You will have my eternal gratitude. Sincerely, Jim Mast Hon. Brian Mast is a retired member of the U.S. Army.
