As Peter puts it, we’ve currently got a “knife’s edge Senate,” evenly divided between Democrats and the GOP. If Peter comes up short in November, that increases the likelihood of the Republicans regaining the Senate majority, and that would mean turning the gavel back over to Mitch McConnell. We cannot let that happen again.

This is our first deadline since Peter won the primary, which means this can be our first big showing of the general election. We know that’s going to be a battle, because Mitch McConnell and the GOP want the Senate majority back, and they know they just have to flip one seat like Vermont to get it.
