Hello all –

Consumers First, an alliance that brings together the interests of consumers, employers, labor unions, and primary care providers to change the fundamental economic incentives and design of the health care system and ensure it truly delivers the health and high-value care that all families across the nation deserve, invites you to join us for a webinar on August 23^rd from 3:00-4:00 EST on the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule ([link removed]) (MPFS) and Outpatient Prospective Payment System ([link removed]) (OPPS) rules. We will be circulating separate sign-on comments for each of the rules in the coming days.

The Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and Outpatient Prospective Payment System comment letters will include recommendations across several key areas:

MFPS Comment Letter
* Support important improvements to the Medicare Shared Savings Program that allow participation by smaller providers and make investments in addressing health equity
* Call for expanding coverage of telehealth services beyond the Public Health Emergency
* Support for allowing a broader array of behavioral health clinicians to bill Medicare more directly
* Encourage CMS to increase payment for primary care

OPPS Comment Letter
* Renew calls for site neutral payment policy changes that reduce incentives for provider consolidation and save consumers money
* Respond to CMS's request for information on increasing Competition in Health Care, calling for CMS to collect and release additional data on health care provider ownership, involvement of private equity, and contracting arrangements
* Reiterate requests for improvements to and enforcement of the Hospital Price Transparency Rule
* Reiterate call on CMS to expand coverage of telehealth services beyond the public health emergency.
